Full Tilt Legal Team Pulls Stunts at AGCC Hearing

Tagged

This past Sunday, Tom Dwan published a few of his thoughts on Twitter which didn’t exactly reassure Full Tilt poker players. The Full Tilt sponsored poker star, in a series of tweets, said the following:

“Lotsa ppl pming me n messaging on twitter w/o having read up on what I said. If worst case happens I’ll pay in a fair way, and that won’t Involve paying individuals jus b/c they messaged me a lot. Timeline was late 2012 I think (or anytime I’m >90%ish of ftp not paying out) That said let’s hope everything gets resolved n I can keep my $$s to spend on some goofy stuff that I’ll thinkup later.”

Dwan was referring to a guarantee he made after Black Friday, where he stated that he would “guarantee $1M in payouts from FTP/Stars. If they somehow don’t pay, I’ll figure out a fair way to disperse it, and send out all the gelt over Hanukah 2012.” Headlines have been rife with speculation on the future of Full Tilt, but to this day, little is certain.

Full Tilt’s situation was further complicated today. The Full Tilt legal team interrupted the Alderney Gambling Control Commission hearings which began today, asking that the proceedings be put behind closed doors without access by the press. One of Full Tilt’s legal representatives, Martin Heslop, said, “It is not in the interest of justice that this should be aired in public. There is a real risk that it may be detrimental to these interests and highly prejudicial to this decision.” Heslop cited “highly commercially sensitive information” which will be discussed in the hearings which would result i a “highly damaging effect” if done publicly.

The Alrney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) denied the request, and continued with the hearings. The AGCC recently took away Full Tilt’s gambling license. In response to the AGCC’s denial of a private hearing, the Full Tilt team engaged in a stalemate, refusing to cooperate with the proceedings. AGCC officials finally agreed to ask press to exit the hearing room, where private discussions then began in earnest.

Full Tilt’s actions during these hearings, and Dwan’s cryptics tweets, do not indicate a strong bargaining position for the poker site, or a successful outcome. However at this point, speculation is the only certainty to be had.

Since Full Tilt crypto gambling had its gaming license revoked by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC), there has been one clear winner: PokerStars. Upon losing its license, Full Tilt was immediately closed, only adding to the crippling effects of Black Friday. But PokerStars, who has proven themselves to be perhaps the most reliable site on the market, has been there to pick up the pieces.

Full Tilt housed roughly 7,000 cash game and 6,000 tournament players, all now without a home. Within three days of the shut down, 41% of the players had already showed up on other sites, with 59% inactive. It turns out that 27% of the active players moved to PokerStars, and have stayed there. For years, the online poker world has been seen as dominated by just two camps. And when one of those camps collapsed, it was nothing but easy work for PokerStars to play clean up.

Full Tilt’s future remains uncertain. Days before losing their license, an unnamed group of European investors was reported to have reached a $150 million buy-out deal to save Full Tilt. However, since the license was lost, information on the status of Full Tilt and any possible deal remains ambiguous at best.

But while Full Tilt hangs in the lurch, you can always get in on some real action: ESPN is currently live streaming the World Series of Poker Main Event, for the first time in WSOP history. You can find live coverage today through Wednesday, July 20 on ESPN3, ESPN2, and ESPN.…

Resignations, Overhauls at Full Tilt keluar sgp Poker

Full Tilt Poker’s Chief Marketing Officer, Lothar Rentschler, has announced his intentions to leave the company. While his departure will not be an immediate matter, his resignation will go into effect by September 13 of this year. Rentschler has served as Full Tilt’s keluar sgp since February of 2009, and had previously worked with such large companies as Bacardi and MEC.

Here are some snippets of what he had to say on the matter, according to an email seen by QuadJacks:

“Given the current circumstances, I do believe it is a long overdue step towards the right direction… I do apologize for the inconvenience the current circumstances at [Full Tilt Poker] have caused for you personally as well as for your respective companies. Our hands in marketing were bound and at the end even every communication was stopped.”

But, as their former online patrons could attest, Full Tilt’s problems go far beyond their marketing structure. The company is currently facing a class action lawsuit, a licensing hearing, and a possible purchase from outside investors. The latest news in this department comes on the acquisition front.

Here’s the long and short of it, as reported by Electronic Gaming Review: In order for any company to be willing to lay down the necessary cash to buy Full Tilt, they will almost certainly demand a change in management. The former online poker giant is currently negotiating with several parties, hoping to beat their September 15 hearing date with the Alderney Gaming Council.

“Everyone has their eye on that date,” says Jeff Ifrah, a member of Full Tilt’s legal team. “Nobody wants to come to September 15th and not have a deal which is either finalized or close to finalization to the point that it can be shared with Alderney and result in the extension of that date.”

Unfortunately, the only game former Full Tilt users have been playing lately is a waiting one. There is still no word on the millions of dollars owed to players.

“I assume there’s going to be a transition period,” Ifrah continued, “and we hope that it’s not going to take that long to turn the lights back on and begin facilitating player withdrawals and obviously continue playing.”

Weeks ago, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) suspended Full Tilt Poker’s gambling license. The AGCC has just released a statement that Full Tilt Poker has paid its overdue licensing fees, which will allow the hearings on its suspended license to proceed without hindrance. One giant leap for Full Tilt Poker, one small step towards getting American players’ money back. Reports have listed the total fee at $250,000.

In the statement, the AGCC said that immediately following Black Friday and before suspending the license, it “began immediate discussions with FTP’s management in order to protect the interests of players.” These discussions with Full Tilt Poker management were ultimately fruitless, and it wasn’t until the U.S. Department of Justice seized Full Tilt domain names that the AGCC suspended the license.

The statement covers Full Tilt’s neglecting the licensing fees, until they were past overdue. During a hearing in late July, the AGCC brought up the issue, and demanded that it be dealt with before even considering lifting the suspension on Full Tilt’s gambling license. The two parties stalemated until today, when Full Tilt apparently caved in and put forward the fee.

The statement reads: “At the hearing the Commissioners of the AGCC, acting as a tribunal, decided to adjourn the hearing to a date no later than 15th September, as they felt that this was in the best interest of the players using FTP’s services. The recent payment of overdue license fees by FTP is also in players’ best interests since it allows commercial negotiations to take place that might result in a successful refinancing deal. Further details regarding the exact date and venue of the next hearing will be announced as soon as possible.”

This means that the hearing will continue to move forward and, quite likely, the eventual restoration of Full Tilt’s gambling license. With this in place, the company will be able to complete any takeover or financing deals and one day successfully resume business.

togel hongkong hari ini Mistakes: Going With Your Gut

Nothing will get you in bigger trouble at the togel hongkong hari ini table than your gut. And no, I don’t mean that eating or drinking too much will make your wife hate you. I don’t mean you won’t fit in the chair or anything like that. I’m talking about playing hunches.

Hunches are important and a lot of great things have come from playing them. Listening to your gut can give you the edge in sports like baseball, in creative activities like writing or painting, or when taking a test (remember that advice of going with your first guess?). However, it doesn’t work in blackjack.

Here’s how it plays out. You’re thinking, Okay, I have 16, which is pretty high, and the dealer is showing a 7. I don’t want to bust. I think I will if I hit, so I’ll stand. I have a feeling on this one. Blackjack isn’t a game of hunches. It’s a game of odds and percentages. In poker, for instance, you can play a hunch on whether or not your cards beat your opponent’s cards, because you’re basing your decision not only on your odds, but on the behavior of the other player. With blackjack, however, you are playing against nothing but the odds. You have to make a decision about whether to hit or stand before the dealer even draws any cards. You don’t know what hole card the dealer has and you don’t know what card is next in the deck. Therefore, playing a hunch can’t help you.

What card is next in line to be dealt is next regardless of whether or not you’re feeling lucky. Blackjack basic strategy, however, has been tested time and again my statisticians and other people a lot smarter than me. Those people have found that following basic strategy gives you the best odds of winning. Following the strategy may not help you win that hand, but in the long run it will give you the best chance for success.

Looking at the above example, the player’s gut said to stand because hitting a 16 gives you a good chance of busting. That’s true. However, standing gives you an even bigger chance of being outdrawn by the dealer if he shows a 7. Blackjack basic strategy takes into account that there are more cards with a value of 10 than any other value (4 out of 13). Because of that, the strategy recognizes that you or the dealer are more likely to draw a 10 card and the dealer’s hole card is most likely to be a 10. Now let’s go back to that example.

If the dealer shows a 7 and his hole card is most likely to be a 10, then the odds say his hand is a hard 17. The dealer would stand on a hard 17, so he wouldn’t draw another card and risk busting. Since you stood on a 16, you would lose by being outdrawn. Of course, if you hit you are also most likely to draw a 10 card, which would cause you to bust, but the odds say you are more likely to draw a card of 5 or more than to outdraw a dealer who shows a 7.

In that particular example, there is no good choice. Any hand of 12-16 is a stiff hand, and the odds are against you whether you hit or stand. However, in the long run, hitting in that situation will cause you to win more often than when you stand.

Another problem with playing a hunch is that you can get caught up in streaks. If you are winning a lot then you might play more aggressive and if you’re losing you might be more cautious. However, the game of blackjack doesn’t care what kind of a streak you’re on. The cards are dealt at random, so each hand is unique. Deviating from basic strategy because you’re on a winning streak is the easiest way to put that streak to an end. Instead of letting emotions dictate your decisions, you should always play the odds, which means to stick to basic strategy.

The only exception to that rule is if you’re counting cards. If you are counting cards and feel that there is either an exceptionally large or small amount of 10 cards remaining in the deck, then you may want to deviate from basic strategy. Card counters employ a strategy that takes the odds of basic strategy and alters them by adjusting the likelihood of a 10 card being drawn.

Your gut may be good for a lot of things, such as telling whether a movie starring Adam Sandler will be any good (it won’t), whether you should wear a suit to that job interview even though the workplace is business casual (you should), and deciding whether it’s worth it to get 3 tacos from Taco Bell for only $0.99 (it’s not). However, your gut does you no good in blackjack. Stick to the chart.

Review of Blackjack Essays

Mason Malmuth is one of the most recognizable names in gambling for writing an incredible volume of information on applying skill to casino games. His book, Blackjack Essays, generally represents some of his earliest forays as an author and serves as a compendium of most of his contributions to the game of blackjack.

There are about 70 essays in this book dealing with a wide range of topics. Almost every one represented a new area of inquiry when it was written. Some now are well integrated into the corpus of general blackjack knowledge, some have been extended and elaborated on in other books, some represent the first foray into a still largely unexplored area, and some are still largely the last word on a particular topic.

The earliest essays in this book cover a concept Malmuth calls, “Card Domination”, which these days is more commonly called Shuffle Tracking. This is still a good introduction to the topic, although the Blackjack Forum series on Shuffle Tracking which appeared in about 1994 is far more thorough. However, I’ve recently seen shuffles which are trackable using Malmuth’s methods.

Another topic Malmuth explores in great depth is that of bankroll requirements or “Gambler’s Ruin”. Malmuth does a great job here of discussing why early blackjack literary figures probably underestimated the size of the fluctuations they would face. Of course, there was still room to explore these ideas in more detail in, for example, Blackjack Attack by Don Schlesinger. However, Malmuth’s writings on this topic are still valuable today, they’re just no longer the last word.

Malmuth provides what is probably the best currently in print description of Front Loading, good information on how to improve the profitability of casino trips, and, a Malmuth trademark, a thorough debunking of several mistaken blackjack myths perpetrated by other authors. Malmuth also provides some surprising results regarding biases, or “card clumping” that receives further attention in other books, but aptly demonstrates the author’s intellectual honesty in this volume.

On some topics, like Malmuth’s preference of shoe Slot Gacor games to hand-held games, and on his preference for more complex count systems, I disagree with the author. However, in these cases I do not fault his conclusions. Malmuth presents his case in a clear, straightforward manner listing the “pros” and “cons” of both sides of the issue and stating the reasons he believes his side of the debate is correct. By doing this he forces a reader who disagrees with him to articulate the reasons why, and, thus, does the reader a service.

Even though this book was first assembled almost 14 years ago, and some of its ideas have been expanded by other authors elsewhere, it still belongs in every serious blackjack player’s library. The ideas it espouses are, at their worst, worthy of serious consideration. I recommend it to anyone who has already learned and practiced a blackjack card counting system. Anyone who enjoyed this book should also read Gambling Theory and Other Topics, and anyone who enjoyed Gambling Theory and plays blackjack seriously should certainly read this book.

Capsule:

If you’ve learned and practiced a card counting system, have played in a casino, and are looking for extra advice, Blackjack Essays will likely be of considerable value. While it may not be the best supplemental book for the blackjack card counter (Blackjack Attack gets that honor), and some of its ideas are a bit dated or covered more thoroughly elsewhere, I still recommend it as a more than worthwhile addition to any serious blackjack player’s library.

Spanish 21 history

Tagged

A child of the computer age, spanish 21 is a computer derived variation of blackjack. The term “spanish” refers to the 48-card deck used in some spanish card games. It is a regular 52-card deck with the four tens removed. Although, in most respects spanish 21 is played just like standard blackjack the basic strategy is somewhat different.
As a specially designed version of blackjack, spanish 21 had liberalized rules and unique bonuses. The casinos can be so generous in spanish 21 because removal of the four tens from the deck gives the house a large advantage. The changes in rules and payout were designed to attract jaded blackjack players and are what has made the game so popular. For instance, in standard blackjack, it is always exhilarating to hit a count of 21 on the nose. But it quickly turn into a disappointment if the dealer also hits 21 (resulting in a push instead of a win). In spanish 21, if both dealer and player have 21, the player wins.

A big reason why the casinos like spanish 21 so much is Unique Casino because it’s quick like traditional blackjack, and gives player about the same edge, while throwing off card counters. Not to mention the fact that the more liberal rules of spanish 21 attracts the players who have grown tired of blackjack.

slot machines history

The term slot machines was originally used for automatic vending machines as well as for the gambling devices, but in the 20th century the term became restricted to the latter. The first such gambling devices in the United States were mere novelties that did not return coins but presented gambling opportunities, such as two toy horses that would race after a coin was inserted. Such devices set on a bar in a saloon attracted wagering between patrons.

The first actual slot machines were built by Charles Fay in 1887 in a small machine shop in San Francisco. He built nickle slot machines by hand and rented them to the local gambling halls. His first machine was not, as some believe, cruder and bulkier than modern slot machines, nor did its reels carry the fruit symbols commonly used today. His original slot machine, called the Liberty Bell, was somewhat smaller than modern machines, and operate basically the same way.

Fay’s slot machines were a huge success, and he couldn’t build them fast enough in his small shop. Many larger gambling supply maufacturers tried to buy the manufacturing and distribution rights, but Fey refused. However, in 1907, Herbert Stephen Mills, a Chicago manufacturer of arcade-like machines, began production of a mahince very similar the Fey’s Liberty Bell. The Machine Mills produced was called the Operator Bell. By 1910, slot machines could be found in every cirt and nearly every hamlet in the country.

Forces of morality, and then of law, opposed the operation of slot machines. Throughout the 1920s, the slot machines were popular throughout much of the United States, especially in resort areas, and they continued to be popular into the Great Depression years of the ’30s. In the late 40’s Bugsy Siegel added slot machines to his Flamingo Hilton hotel in Las Vegas. Originally, the slot machines were installed as a way to entertain the wives and girlfriends of high rollers, but revenue from the slot machines soon began supplanting that of the table games. In the mid 1980’s the popularity of slot machines and table games were on par with each other, but by the 90’s slot machines had taken over and now account for over two-thirds of casino revenue in the US.…

Introduction Pai Gow

Tagged

Get yourself comfortable, grab a drink if you wish, and settle in because pai gow is probably the most difficult casino game to explain. Although the ranking of the hands is rather involved the concept of the game is quite simple. Once you get over the learning curve pai gow is a lot of fun, has a low house edge, and your money should last a long time at the table.

The Chinese have been betting on Pai Gow for centuries. Today Pai Gow can be found in casinos that attract a strong Asian clientele. It may be hard to find in Las Vegas but I believe every casino has it in Atlantic City. The Taj Majal, for example, has three pai gow tables.

If you are already familiar with pai gow poker then pai gow will seem familiar. Pai gow is played with a set of 32 dominos displayed below. Notice that some dominos appear once and some twice.

There is no significance to the color of the dots.

The Rules

The object of the game is the same as in pai gow poker, to beat the banker. Unlike most casino games, in pai gow the player can have a turn to be the banker in which case the goal is to beat everybody else. The dealer also acts as a player in pai gow acting as banker in turn. When the dealer is not banking he will bet an amount equal to the bet the banker made the last time he played against the house bank. The dealer always plays his hand according to predetermined rules known as the house way. If a player wishes to bank but is uncomfortable with the financial risk of covering all other bets on the table he may ทางเข้า789bet request to co-bank with the house. If this option is selected his hand must be set according to the house way. The opportunity to bank is offered in turn to each player and dealer in a counter-clockwise direction.

The game is played with a set of 32 dominos, three dice, and a dice shaker. Play begins with all players making a wager. As the players decide how much to bet the dealer mixes up the dominos and puts them in 8 neat stacks of 4. Then the dice are rolled to determine who gets the first stack and then proceeds counter-clockwise. After the dice are exposed the player may not change his bet. Each player is given one stack of 4 dominos, which they are to arrange into two groups of two.

Each pair of dominos has a ranking. The player must decide how to arrange his dominos into the strongest possible pairs. Sometimes the choice is obvious but often a decision must be made whether to have a strong hand and a weak hand or two more balanced hands. At most there will be three possible and viable ways to play the hand. After a decision is reached the player should lay the dominos face down with the higher pair laying horizontally and the lower pair vertically. Only after all players have set their hands can the banker examine and set his dominos.

After all dominos have been arranged the banker and player will turn over their hands. Each player will in turn compare his hands to those of the banker. If the player wins both hands his bet pays even money less a 5% commission. If the player loses both he loses his entire wager. If the hands split, one win and one loss, then the bet is a push. After all bets have been settled the banker pays a 5% commission on the net win, if there was one.

Ranking

How the hands are ranked is the complicated and there is no easy way to memorize the order. The highest hands are the matched pairs as follows. The highest pair, known as the supreme pair consists of the two wild dominos. Each of these wild dominos, known as “gee” may count as either 3 or 6 points if used individually. The Chinese name for the supreme pair is “Gee Joon” which is also the name of a restaurant in Binion’s Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas.

  1. Supreme 2. Heaven 3. Earth 4. Man 5. Goose 6. Flower

  1. Long 8. Board 9. Hachet 10. Partition 11. Long

Leg 7 12. Big

Head 6

Following in rank are certain non-matching pairs.

  1. Mixed 9 14. Mixed 8 15. Mixed 7 16. Mixed 5

Next in rank are special combinations known as Wongs. These combinations inlude either the 2 or 12 point domino and any 9 point domino.

  1. King of Heaven 18. King of Earth

or     or

Following the Wongs are other special combinations known as Gongs. These combinations inlude either the 2 or 12 point domino and any 8 point domino.

  1. Treasure of Heaven 20. Treasure of Earth

and  or  or  and  or  or

Finally, if a pair, Wong, or Gong can not be formed then the hand is ranked according to the terminal digit of the total pip value of dots on the dominos. For example a hand consisting of a 12 and 7 dominos would have a total of 19 spots for the highest possible value of 9. The highest among these hands are the 6+6 and 1+1 dominos combined with a 7, known as a “high nine” because of their composition with one of the two highest individual dominos. In the event the player and banker have the same point total then the highest ranking domino in each will will be used to break the tie, the high domino wins. In the event that the high dominos are equal then the tie shall go to the banker. Note that the second highest dominos are not used to break the tie. There is an exception, in the event of a 0-0 copy then the tie will go to the banker. The following list shows every domino in order of their rank.

  1. Heaven 2. Earth 3. Man 4. Goose
  2. Flower 6. Long 7. Board 8. Hatchet
  3. Partition 10. Long leg 7 11. Big head 6 12. Mixed 9

or

  1. Mixed 8 14. Mixed 7 15. Mixed 5 16. Mixed 6

or or or or

Note that while the two wild dominos together are the highest ranking pair (the supreme pair) individually they are the lowest in rank.

Strategy

There is no simple answer to what constitutes good strategy. Most of the time the correct play will be obvious. However sometimes the player must decide whether to weaken the high hand for the benefit of the low hand.

In his book Pai Gow Chinese Dominoes Michael J. Musante presents what is known now as the Musante house way which has influenced the house way of many casinos. Dr. John Gwynn later analyzed the effects of various strategies played against the Musante strategy. Assuming the player used the Musante strategy as well the house edge would be 0.6182% as the banker, 2.3896% as a player, and 1.5039% on average. Assuming the player used an optimal single strategy designed to defeat the Musante strategy the house edge would be -0.1387% as the banker, 1.6376% as a player, and 0.7495% on average. Assuming the player used two optimal strategies depending on whether acting as the banker or a player the house edge would be -0.1472% as the banker, 1.6225% as a player, and 0.7377% on average.

The most practical of these statistics for the novice player are those for the Musante vs. Musante. These figures also show that to minimize the overall house edge the ratio of money wagered as banker is much more important than the strategy used. Assuming the player banked half of his/her total bets and used the same strategy as the dealer and other players the house edge would be about 1.5%.

The House Way

Following is the house way for the Foxwoods casino. Of the three casino house ways I have I find this one to be the easiest to explain.

Always keep pairs together except:

Split supreme pair with 6-4, 6-5, or 6-6.

Split 2s or 12s to make 6-8 or better. Also split with 9&11.

Split 9s with any two of 2,10,12.

Split 8s with any two of 2,10,11,12. Also split with 9&11.

Split 7s with any two of 2,10,11,12.

Play 2 or 12 with a 7,8, or 9. With both a 2 and 12 play the 12 in the high hand. Play high 9 over wong and gong and gong over wong except:

Play wong over gong when fourth tile is 11.

Play wong over high 9 when fourth tile is 11.

Play gong over high 9 when fourth tile is any 4 or when third and fourth tiles are low (mixed) 8 and 5.

Make the low hand as high as possible. This includes playing the high domino in the low hand when given the choice. Exceptions:

If the low hand does not have a value of at least long 3 (a total of 3 with the long domino or higher) and a 7 or higher is possible in the high hand then make the high hand as high as possible. This includes playing the high domino in the high hand when given the choice.

If the two hands total 8-9 or more then play the high domino in the high hand.

2, 5, 6, 12: play 7, high 8.

High 8, low 8, high 4, any 7: play 2, high 5.

High 10, low 10, high 6, any 7: play 6, high 7.

High 10, low 10, high 6, low 8: play 6, high 8.

High 10, low 10, high 6, any 9: play 6, high 9.

High 10, high 8, 11, low 7: play 7, high 9.

High 4, low 4, gee (mixed 6), 5: play high 7, 9.

2 or 12, any 6, 5, gee: play 7, 9.

High 6, low 6, 11, gee: play 7, high 9.

High 8, low 8, any 7, 9: play high 5, 7.

Finally, there is an unwritten rule that you never play a hand in a way that an alternative would result in both a stronger high and low hand. For example with a pair of 12s, 6, and wild. The splitting 12s rule says to split to make 6-8 or better. However pair/9 beats 8/8 on both hand and low hands, thus overrides the pair splitting rule.

Pergi wow mereka.

What to Do with a Finished Diamond Painting and Ravensburger Puzzles

Tagged

You’ve finally done it. You finished your first diamond project—yay! Now, you’re probably wondering what to do with a finished diamond painting. Well, you spent a lot of time and effort on creating something beautiful, so you’ll definitely want to preserve it in some way. But, how? We like to add a top seal to keep all of the diamond beads secure and then put it in a chic frame to hang on the walls of our home or office.

Before you can start the framing process, however, there are a few other finishing touches you can add to your painting just to make sure it’s as perfect as can be. Learn how to frame a diamond painting and look for any minuscule mistakes that could lead to bigger issues down the line.

Get Rid of Dust or Dirt
Most of us spend quite a bit of time working on a single diamond painting project because it can take a while to get every bead in the right place. Plus, if you want to create a truly stunning piece, you need to be diligent about the placement of every diamond; otherwise, you’ll end up with a painting that looks uneven or misshapen.

Because these projects can take days or even weeks–depending on how often you work on yours–it’s easy for debris like dirt, dust or even pet hair to get caught in the design. You may not notice any of these tiny inconveniences while working on the project, but once the beads have been sealed in and hung in a frame, you may see the difference. To clean your diamond painting, you can use a soft brush or even a toothbrush to very gently sweep any remains of your creation.

Check for Missing Areas
Have you ever thought you completed a Ravensburger Puzzles only to realize you had one piece missing? It is so easy for something similar to happen with a finished diamond painting. Because every piece is so small and the grid sections are so close together, you may end up thinking that you didn’t miss any spots, but once you hold your project up to a light board or a bright light (lamp or direct sunlight), any spots that have been skipped over will be illuminated. Before you do anything else with your finished product, you should use this test to check for discrepancies.

Be Sure Diamond Beads Are Secure

The diamonds beads of your painting are attached to the grid by the pattern’s sticky surface. However, sometimes we do not push down hard enough on each and every bead causing one (or more) of them to fall off once we lift up the painting. To avoid this, take a rolling pin and gently roll over the entire piece. This will provide each bead a little extra pressure that ensures that they are stuck to the grid.

Learn How to Properly Frame Your Diamond Painting
Adding your diamond painting to a frame gives it a classy and finished appearance. Framing your painting is a fairly easy process. You can buy a standard frame from any craft store, or look for a custom size to fit your specific painting. If you’re going to buy a standard frame from the store, look for one that is slightly smaller than your painting. Diamond art paintings have extra trim around the image so you can cut some of this material down to fit the frame and focus more on the image itself.…

Vegas, slot demo Baby. Vegas.

Tagged

Tomorrow, I am heading to Sin City, a short four-hour drive across the desert. I’m going to meet a friend and her boyfriend, who make the pilgrimmage from New York every year for the first weekend of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. As I’ve previously mentioned, I’m an avowed slot demo player, having already logged 125 hours of live and online play this year, so I’ll be sure to get over to the Bellagio poker room at some point while I’m there (and maybe to the 6-12 game at the Mirage, if I do well at Bellagio). The rest of the time I’ll just be hopping from sports book to sports book, watching the games.

Having made this trip three times in the last nine months, I can honestly say that “The Fertile Valleys” is starting to lose whatever appeal it once had for me, especially since there are at least five perfectly serviceable card rooms in the Los Angeles area. Vegas trips are becoming more and more about meeting up with friends — mainly New Yorkers — I might not otherwise get to see.

Someone’s got to pay for my gas, though, and it’s certainly not going to be me.

Cats and Visitors Smell

Where do the boundaries of friendship, hospitality and common courtesy intersect?

Tonight I’m hosting what was originally supposed to be two friends from New York, which turned into 3 friends from New York a week ago, which I learned in a phone call four hours ago has increased to 4 friends from New York. Now, I live in a 700sf one-bedroom apartment. Said apartment is furnished with a queen-sized bed, a couch, a little loveseat-ish type thing, and a large wicker chair with foot rest. It is all extremely crappy furniture, but none of it is mine, so I don’t really care. The point is, I am not exactly built for hosting four people.

I suppose one person can sleep on the couch, one person can sleep in the bed with me, one person can sleep on the air mattress I borrowed from my girlfriend’s sister, and one person… gets the wicker chair? Or the floor. Whichever. My poor, flatulent cat is going to have to sleep in the bathroom, because she can’t sleep with me like she normally does and she can’t sleep in the living room, as it will be chock full of scary New Yorkers. (She spooks easily.)

All of this is bearable, I guess. “Couldn’t they have chipped in $30 each and rented a hotel room?” my girlfriend asked me tonight. The answer is yes, of course they could have. But originally, when there were only going to be two people staying here, a hotel room would have been twice as much and it would have been no problem for them to sleep here. Plus, they are my friends, and I am trying to be hospitable.

What’s not bearable is that one of them called me about twenty minutes ago to say that they were just leaving the Bay Area and don’t expect to arrive to my apartment until about 3:30 in the morning. This means that I am either going to have to wait up until 3:30 for them to get here (not likely) or have them wake up me and my flatulent cat (man, she really does stink) at 3:30 in the morning to let them in.

Someone’s going to die if they insist on going to Burbank at 7:30 tomorrow morning to get Jay Leno tickets.…

Reseating the Final Three Tables Sihoki Slot

Tagged

As I have said many times in the past, if you are going to reseat the players then random is wrong. What is the purpose? So if you are going to reseat them, why not balance the tables?

As BJ has pointed out below, going into today’s Final Three tables the chip counts per table look like this.

Chip Count Per Table

Table 1 … 34,010,000

Table 2 … 24,135,000

Table 3 … 30,101,000

Now you are never going to get a perfect balance when the chipleader has just a monster stack, as Jamie Gold does today. But the Sommerfeld Reseating System helps a lot. Jamie would be at the first table, then the next chip stack is at two, and the third at table three. The order is reverse and chip stack four is at table three, five at two and six at one. Reverse again and keep going. Do that with these final tables and even with the monster chip lead you get more reasonably balanced tables.

Chip Count Per Table

Table 1 … 32,880,000

Table 2 … 27,846,000

Table 3 … 27,520,000

Yes, you could in theory almost completely balance the tables but that would mean putting most or all of the short stacks with the huge chip leader and that would spell disaster for the short stacks and the rest of the field as the Sihoki Slot pounds them into submission. This actually is close to the situation we have today; Jamie Gold is on table #3 in today’s draw, so he has 13M of the 30.1 M at his table and will be blasting away at those short stacks.

Analysis of Chip Counts and Table Draws – Final 3 Tables

Here are the breakdowns, by seating position, of the final 27 players. Poker Shrink gave you the view in chip count order, but this gives us a different perspective.

There were three players with different “official” chip counts released by Harrah’s and CardPlayer.com. Looking at the errors, the most likely scenario is that one person read the chip counts to somebody typing them in, and the typist misheard or transposed a few numbers.

I listed Harrah’s numbers first, with any CP discrepancies noted after the player’s name. Later, in my analysis, you’ll see why I believe the Harrah’s numbers are more likely to be correct.

TABLE 1

1 … 3,275,000 … Richard Lee … (CP shows 5,275,000)

2 … 2,650,000 … Allen Cunningham

3 … 3,670,000 … Kevin Aaronson

4 … 2,130,000 … Kevin O’Donnell

5 … 7,735,000 … Erik Friberg

6 … 1,785,000 … Eric Lynch

7 … 3,275,000 … John Magill

8 … 3,765,000 … William Thorsson

9 … 5,725,000 … Michael Binger … (CP shows 5,275,000)

TABLE 2

1 … 1,685,000 … Rob Roseman

2 … 1,100,000 … Luke Chung

3 … 6,905,000 … David Einhorn

4 … 5,430,000 … Dan Nassif

5 … 2,265,000 … Leif Force

6 … 1,210,000 … Dustin Holmes

7 … 1,190,000 … Sirous Jamshidi

8 … 3,715,000 … Jeffrey Lisandro … (CP shows 3,750,000)

9 …… 635,000 … Mark Garner

TABLE 3

1 … 13,000,000 … Jamie Gold

2 ….. 3,595,000 … Doug Kim

3 ….. 1,700,000 … Lee Kort

4 ….. 6,400,000 … Rhett Butler

5 ….. 1,850,000 … Prahlad Friedman

6 ….. 1,611,000 … Fred Goldberg

7 …….. 675,000 … Siddharth Jain

8 …….. 700,000 … Paul Wasicka

9 …….. 570,000 … Richard Wyrick

THE ACTUAL sbobet TOURNAMENT

Tagged

I HAVEN’T EVEN GOTTEN TO THE PARTY YET SO JUST BEAR WITH ME

Let’s just skip to the final table shall we. It’s the main event, the part we all came to see. Actually very few of us came here to play poker, but this is the best of it and it certainly deserves a telling.

10 players remained and 5 were sbobet Palmetto proud (This is a South Carolina expression meaning they’re homeboys). In fact, 40% of the final table was comprised of members of the Smith family. I’ve tried all afternoon to think of any event where a single family has shown so much dominance and the closest I can come up with is the Corleones.

The entire table looked like this :

Double As

Dr. Pauly

Wes Nile Virus

Shep Tiltstein

Team Scott Smith

Debbie Smith

The Wolverine (also a Smith)

Lefty

Daddy

Uncle Brian (who knocked me out)

Honorary Feature Table bubble and 11th place finisher = Al Can’t Hang

At the start DoubleAs held a massive chip advantage and Daddy was close behind. The Wolverine cut into both stacks with some very crafty plays. Then shortly after Uncle Brian (Stupid pocket Kings) busted out we had the hand of the century….******* For Much Greater Detail on this hand you must read the END of this post a future post [ed’s correction], but here’s the short version:

Only two players, Daddy and The Wolverine see the flop :

It’s A-7-7.

The turn is a rag.

The river is a 7.

Daddy bets the river and The Wolverine pushes all in. Daddy says, “You have quads don’t you?” Then he lays down, FOLDS, pocket aces.

The Wolverine shows the hammer, Quad 7s.

AN APOLOGY

Meanwhile, the party was rockin’ outside. Four pretty girls dressed, oddly, as Hooter’s girls arrived. They brought dozens of their closest friends. My buddy Ted and his parents arrived and his mother who has very nice Hooters herself begged me to touch the muscles of her thigh. She’d been working out and, while I was uncomfortable, I hate to be rude.

Eva’d made me another LIT and a coupla carbombs too. I’d started tinkering with SoCo and had a head full of beer. After the previous night, it was easy to get the stupid flowing. Dr. Jeff calls it the “shampoo effect”.

THE SHAMPOO EFFECT

You know how when you lather your hair and then rinse, you get a pretty mild lather of bubbles on the hair.

But…

If you follow the directions and actually REPEAT the process you almost instantly get a full head of giant bubbles. The previous wash made the second one quicker.

Likewise, if you still feel last night’s booze, today’s is coming FAST.

Friends my buzz was moving like my Head and Shoulders and Al Can’t Hang is a lousy conditioner. Therefore, I’m a bit sketchy on the EXACT tournament details but I can tell what I remember. Most of my memories begin at the DRUNK OLYMPICS…

SANS CHEESE BALLS

WHAT I REMEMBER

Pauly beat Wes (The Big Pirate). They chopped the pot and then had one had to determine a champion. It was Pauly.

Within moments the gospel spread and the great game was over. Millions of devout Pauly fans shed tears of joy, millions of pirates returned to their jobs at Capital One. Better still, the DRUNK OLYMPICS were ready to begin.

Otis, Al and I dragged a PA system with two speakers to the upper corner of the driveway, Otis plugged it in, and said, “Hello” to the crowd. They were all there by then, and even the Hooters girls perked up.

CJ and BG were the referees.…
